I currently live in Athens, GA, where I am a Video and Content Producer for Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing. Over here at GBSM, we specialize in social media and video-board content for virtually every sports team at UGA. A typical day can range from covering press conferences, to conducting/shooting feature interviews, or attending one of the many live sporting events. I am consistently on-the-go, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I mean, that’s what keeps life interesting, right?

A southern transplant — Michala spent most of her life residing in the Hudson Valley, just a short train ride from New York City. From a very young age, Michala had a passion for broadcasting and production that seemed to already run in her blood.

Her Grandfather, Bill Parker, spent over 50 years in the TV industry, working with broadcasting greats like Dick Clark and Rod Serling, and was inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2015.

Michala is a cum laude graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University, where she majored in Broadcast and Digital Journalism, with a Sport Management minor. She has over five years experience in the collegiate sports industry, ranging from Public Relations, to Video Production and Social Media. She has previously held positions with Syracuse Athletics, the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, and the United States Military Academy. Over the past four years, Michala has traveled across the U.S., following sports teams and creating unique content for social media.

When she’s not on a sideline somewhere, you can find her on the beach, or hiking up a trail somewhere in the mountains.
